本剧改编自同名小说，讲述了天久鹰央（桥本环奈 饰）是天医会综合医院统括诊断部的部长，专门破解疑难病症，甚至能从医学角度解开超自然现象之谜。她聪慧过人，却性格冷漠、难以捉摸。前外科医生小鸟游优（三浦翔平 饰）被派遣至该部门，与她搭档。擅长揣摩人心的小鸟游，与不解人情的天才鹰央形成鲜明对比，如同华生与福尔摩斯般互补。两人性格碰撞，联手破解医学谜团，揭开隐藏的真相。
